1. What is self storage?

Self storage allows individuals or businesses to rent secure spaces to store their belongings, inventory, documents or equipment on a short or long-term basis.

2. Who uses self storage?

Common users include homeowners during moves or renovations, college students, military personnel, and small businesses needing extra inventory or document storage.

3. What can I store in a unit?

Most household goods, furniture, documents, electronics, and business inventory are allowed. However, certain items are prohibited (see below)

4. What items are not allowed in storage?

You cannot store:

Food or perishable goods unless approved by Wii Store (Pty) Ltd and provided they are protected from and do not attract vermin;
Plants, birds, fish, animals or any other creatures;
Combustible, flammable, explosive or oxidizing materials, liquids or gases e.g. paints, petrol, oil, cleaning solvents, gas cylinders, fireworks;
Chemicals, compressed gases, radioactive materials, biological agents, waste materials, asbestos, pollutants, toxic or hazardous materials or contaminated goods or other materials of a potentially dangerous nature;
Firearms, weapons, ammunition, explosives or the components thereof;
Any item which emits any fumes, smell or odour;
Any item of high value requiring specialist storage (including without limitation jewellery, money, bullion, deeds, bonds,securities, stamps, antiques, fine art or fine wines) or items which are irreplaceable such as paintings, works of art and items of personal sentimental value;
Cigarettes, cigars, electronic cigarettes or any other tobacco products;
Any illegal substances, illegal items or goods illegally obtained, including counterfeit goods, illicit (smuggled/ counterfeit) tobacco, illicit alcohol or unsafe goods; or
Anything that might damage the Storage Unit in any way, or all other goods prohibited by law;
Anything that weighs more than 300 kilograms per square metre.

5. What unit sizes do you offer?

We offer a range of sizes from small 8 sqm units (double closet-size) to large 38 sqm units (double garage-size). Contact us for a size guide.

6. How do I know what size I need?

We can help! Use our online size guide or call our team for recommendations based on what you plan to store.

7. When can I access my unit?

We offer 7-day access during facility hours.

8. Is drive up access available?

No, we do not have drive up access to the units, we, however have drive up access to our facility entrance with easy loading and offloading to and from trolleys.

9. How much does it cost to rent a unit?

Prices vary based on unit size. Contact us for a quote or check our online pricing.

10. Do you require a deposit?

Yes, require a refundable security deposit. This will be explained during booking.

11. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfers, pay fast available soon.

12. Is there a minimum rental period?

The minimum is one month. Most contracts are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. You decide how long you’d like to stay on.

13. Is the facility secure?

Yes. Our facility is equipped with security features like gated access control, CCTV surveillance, alarm, and on-site managers, 24/7 security, business park gating, alarm and access controlled.

14. Do I need insurance for my stored items?

Yes. You are required to insure your own contents.

15. Do you offer climate-controlled units?

All our units are ventillated.

16. Can I store a vehicle, boat, or RV?

No, unfortunately we do not offer vehicle storage. We will update site once this feature becomes available.

17. Do you sell packing supplies?

Yes, we sell boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and locks on-site for your convenience.

18. Do you offer moving truck rentals?

No,unfortunately we do not offer moving truck rentals but we can recommend local moving services. Contact us for details.

19. How do I reserve a unit?

You can reserve online, by phone, or in person. Reservations are free and we hold your unit for a limited time.

20. How quickly can I move in?

Same-day move-ins are available, depending on availability and office hours.

21. Do I need to bring my own lock?

You can bring your own lock or purchase a high-security lock from us on-site.
